Fitness class description: 
Abs & Stretch - strengthening abdominal exercises and a full body stretch.
BodyWork - an interval training that consists of sets of fast-paced exercises each performed for 20-60 seconds interspersed with a brief rest of of 10 seconds. Bodywork aims to yield the most benefits in a short amount of time.
Full Body - have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, improve balance and range of motion, improving daily-living activities. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Gentle Yoga - perfect for every level of fitness, slowly flowing into Yoga Positions that fit your body style.  We end with a guided meditation for mindfulness & positive thinking
High/Low Impact Cardio - High/Low aerobic movement (Cardio) intervals alternating muscle conditioning exercises for a full body workout. Three 7 to 8 minute segments of interval training using various muscle conditioning equipment.
Line Dancing - Dancing in general provides exercise for cardiovascular health. In addition to the exercise option, line dancing is considered great exercise for the mind. This line dance class will provide a great social outlet for all ages without the need for a partner and encompasses a variety of music from country to hip hop.
Strength Training - Ultimate full- body weight training class that challenges all of your major muscle groups.
Zumba Gold - a modified Zumba class for active seniors that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. This focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.
 
How do I schedule a Personal Training Session?
Stop by the fitness bulletin board and fill out a personal trainer request form. Once the form is completed, drop it off at the front desk. Bios for each personal trainer are displayed on the wall outside of the Movement Studio. Your Lifestyle Director will contact the personal trainer with the information and the personal trainer will get in touch with your directly.
 
 
How do I purchase a Group Fitness monthly pass or punch card?
Residents will need to purchase a group fitness monthly pass or punch card if they wish to participate in the group classes. Stop by the front desk to purchase your card, by check, today. For your protection, it is recommended that you write your name on the back of your card, as lost or stolen cards will not be replaced.  Pease make your check out to: Sweetwater Master
 
How do I sign up for a Group Fitness class?
After you purchase a Group Fitness monthly pass or punch card, you check in at the front desk to receive a class pass. The instructor will check in attendees prior to the class by having them sign in and getting their class pass.
 
Convenient ways to pay for Group Fitness classes:
Class Pass: 10 class pass- $55
Resident/Non-Local Guest* Classes: Daily- $6 per class
Unlimited Class Pass:
            Weekly- $20
            Monthly- $55
           
 
*A non-local guest is a friend of family member over the age of 19, whose permanent residence is more than a 50-mile radius from Sweetwater, temporarily residing with a Sweetwater resident.
 
Printed fitness schedules are available at the flyer rack next to the front desk.
 
Lockers-
Lockers are available upon request. If you need a locker, please see the front desk to sign out a locker and receive a key. Our locker room is equipped with restrooms, showers and a changing room. There is also access from the locker room to the outdoor pool.
*You will need either your Sweetwater Resident ID Card or Driver’s License to reserve a locker.
